19 February 1897 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 19th [February 1897]. Painted– Had a bad cold. Rainy & warm weather. Nelly & I went to the New Gallery & signed the address to be sent to G. F. Watts on the occasion of his 80th birthday on Tuesday next. Miss Duff Gordon came to lunch. Felicia Lindsey came to see me & presented me with 4 tiny birds she calls “non pareils”– My cold got so troublesome that at 4.30 I went to bed. Lady Gregory dined here—& Miss Oswell– The latter came abt 6.30 & she & I worked at the MS till dinner—& in the evening she went on with Lady G. at it.
