28 April 1897 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny
Wednesday. 28th [April 1897]. I was rather inclined to have a headache & kept quiet most of the day in my own room. Gave Bertie & Vere an Italian lesson. Did not go out till after tea when I accompanied Vere & Irène to the church & left them to practise for Sunday—walked home alone. Canon & Mrs Lyons (the Rectory & his wife) dined with us & after dinner we tried over all our pictures & they were very successful & much approved by the Lyons. Lovely day.
