14 July 1897 — Bere Cottage, Bere Regis, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 14th [July 1897]. I drove Maria to Wareham station in the poney carriage & she & Ruth returned to town by the 3.8 train. There was a very high wind going– It was less as I returned. I dined at 8 & then went to fish at Cobbs– Hooked 2 trout—lost both. Home at 9. Lovely night & splendid moon. Quite hot. | |
