4 August 1897 — Bere Cottage, Bere Regis, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 4th [August 1897]. Mr & Mrs Henry White drove over from Blandford to lunch with us & remained until after tea. Mr White has made up his mind to take a place in the country & remain in England part of the year going back to Australia in the winters. He told us many interesting things about Australia. Col. Mansell Pleydell came to lunch to meet them. I went & fished at the Doctor’s & Cobbs hatches but all in vain. | |
