8 August 1897 — Milton Court, nr. Dorking, Surrey | |
Sunday. 8th [August 1897]. It rained so hard we could not go to church. The Bishop read prayers for us. Mrs Rate showed me a new instrument called the Auto Harp which I set myself to study. It is very easy. Took a walk in the garden with Mrs Rate after tea. | |
