Wednesday. 8th [September 1897]. Painted, read &c. Afternoon was painting in the garden with Mr Eden when M. & Mme Wiel arrived to tea & then a whole quantity of Italian neighbours who sat some time in state in the hall. Carry & I accompanied the Wiels a part of their way home & walked home ourselves by another route. | |
