1 October 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 1st October [1897]. Very heavy scirocco weather. Wrote letters, did accounts &c. Thesigers went out in gondola. I out in sandolo to try a new boy who proved to be too small & weak. Lunch at one– Tea at 5. Herr Passini made his appearance—being in Venice for a month—very glad to see each other. I went out for a row with Fred Thesiger. Nela & Francie went out in sandolo. Dined at 8. Afterwards Fred & Nela went out in gondola & Francie & I played besique in which she kindly gave me a lesson– | |
