3 October 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 3rd [October 1897]. The Thesigers & Nela went to the service wh is held at the Palazzo Morosini S. Stefano till our church is ready for use. I remained at home & read in my room & had a quiet morning. After lunch we all went in sandolo & gondola to the Edens garden. There Francie & Nela sketched & I helped them. We took our tea basket with us & had tea in the garden– When we got home it was about 6 & I sat in my bedroom. Francie came there & we sat talking till dinner. No going out in the evening. Fred sat talking with me about interesting people we had known– | |
