2 November 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 2nd [November 1897]. I typed in the morning. Nela went out in sandolo with Miss Haseltine. Directly after lunch we went to the hotel to pay Mrs Haseltine a visit & bid her goodbye as they leave for Florence tomorrow. Thence went to the Edens garden & paid a visit there & were given roses & chrysanthemums. Came home to tea. Maria Cozzi & Ersilia Canevaro came also Pss Adine Windischgrätz & her sister Olga Mocenigo. After all were gone I practised the zither. In the evening Nela read aloud to me “Chaldea” by Ragozin. | |
