7 November 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 7th [November 1897]. Neither Nela or I were very well so we breakfasted in bed. I got up at 10 & sat with Nela. It was a most lovely day & I was tempted to go & have tea with the Edens & at 3 I went to their garden to propose it—but I had to give up the idea & come home—not feeling well eno’. Sat with Nela who did not get up—& went early to bed. | |
