23 November 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 23rd November [1897]. Another splendid day. Went out after lunch to Piazza & carried my pearls wh I spent this morning restringing to the jewellers to be fastened into their snaps. While it was being done we walked up & down on the Riva in the sun—& then went back to fetch the pearls—met Mr & Mrs Eden walking in the Piazza & they went to Messraglias with us. Chose a pair of earrings that Ola Du Cane wants & had them sent to her. Home to tea. Ersilia Canevaro came to tea—also Miss Wolf & Dr van Someren—& Revd A. Carey. Nela went to the Canevaros in the evening for an hour– | |
