9 December 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 9th [December 1897]. Messrs Richmond & Arkwright came to luncheon & then we took them out in gondola to Rietti’s shop to look at antiquities. They bought but little. We took them on in gondola to the Piazza & then parted with them & we went to call on Css Canevaro whom we found at home—& thence returned home at 5 o’cl to our tea. | |
