10 December 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 10th [December 1897]. A splendid day & Nela went out in the morning in sandolo & took Messrs Richmond & Arkwright to the Lido & lunched with them. I painted all morning. When Nela returned we went together to the Piazza—walked a bit & then went to call on Bss de Pury whom we found at home & Mme le Mallier sitting with her. Home at 5. Nela went with Messrs Arkwright & Richmond to the theatre to see Goldoni’s Bugiardo. I typed after dinner till bed time. | |
