20 December 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Monday. 20th [December 1897]. I got up early, breakfasted at 8 & went off early to Palazzo Mocenigo where I found Olga & Marchesa Bentivoglio both at work & we all three superintended the placing & transporting of her furniture. It was rather difficult work as there were men at work at the gas pipes—others placing stoves—others laying down carpets &c. We got a good deal done by 5 in the afternoon—just leaving for an hour to go to Ca’ Capello to lunch at 1.30. At 5 I left & went home to tea. Iduna came to tea & also Mr Montalba who stayed late talking. Css Olga dined with us but left early & I gladly went to bed being tired.
