31 January 1898 — 17 Cavendish Square | |
Monday. 31st January [1898]. I remained in bed all the morning being very tired. Then went to my own house & met Nellie there & had some luncheon. She says the Dr are still satisfied with Arthur’s progress. I saw the housekeeper my brother Monty had put in to our house to look after things till my return & agree she is not to stay on– We walked to ½ Moon St after lunch & I remained there & wrote letters while Nellie was out shopping– She had seen Arthur this morning. Mrs Jerico came to tea there. I went back to dine and sleep at Cav. Sqr. | |
