8 March 1898 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 8th March [1898]. Typed all the morning. Maria came to lunch with me & to try whether one of my armchairs wd suit for her to have– She fixed on one & I sent it to her house. I went on foot to Q. Anne’s Mansions to see Augusta Gregory. She was at home & we went out together in a hansom to Haynes the Upholsterer at Paddington. There we separated & I went in a hansom to call on Blanche who was out & then home & Augusta dined with me & we corrected the typed copies of Henry’s letters from Spain to Lord Lytton.
