Wednesday. 23rd [March 1898]. Bee Eliot came to luncheon & also Onie Ponsonby & Kate’s son Reggie. Evely Eliot called later. Mr Villiers & Elaine came to dinner with Kate & me. Elaine played & sang after dinner very much out of tune—music is not her forte. She looked very handsome & they both seemed very happy. Weather turned very cold & a good deal of snow fell. | |
