21 April 1898 — 3 Savile Row | |
Thursday. 21st [April 1898]. I had meant to go out with Elaine in the morning but when I awoke I had a headache so I remained in bed till lunch. I went after lunch just to see Arthur & sat with him a little while. Molly Alderson (Nellie’s Aunt) lunched with me– Elaine was at lunch also. Molly accompanied me to Half Moon St & went off for a walk with Nellie & I came home—& saw Elaine depart to the station to go to Canford. Miss Oswell had appointed to come & dine with me & to work at the MS. She came at 7 & asked me to let her off her engagement. I was only too glad & went at once to my bed. | |
