1 May 1898 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 1st May [1898]. I went to Marlborough House Chapel service at 10. Met Sir Francis de Winton coming out—also Lady Arthur Russell & walked with her as far as Half Moon Street. I went in to see Arthur & found him better again– Nelly was gone to Church so I sat with him a bit & then came home. Eda & Nela who had been to service at St Paul’s came home to lunch. It was a showery day & I did not go out again. Eda went to tea at 5 at the Bishop of London’s & only returned to dinner. Louis Du Cane came to see me.
