5 May 1898 — 3 Savile Row | |
Thursday. 5th May [1898]. A dull rainy day. Walked with Eda directly after lunch to Half Moon St & found Arthur was better. Sat with him & Nelly a bit talking while Nellie smoked cigarette. She & Eda & I were intending to start for a walk when it came on to pour with rain—& Lady Robert Cecil arrived to see her cousins so I left them took a cab & went to 17 Cav. Sqr to see my sister Blanche who was kept in by a cold. I remained with her till 7 came home & dressed & then Eda & I went to 25 Park Crescent to dine with the Du Canes. Maria was brighter & less shaky– Only the girls were at home & their father. | |
