Mildred came after lunch & saw her father for a few minutes. Mrs Sydney Glyn came to see us & enquired after Arthur. The man came to work at the garden in the Ct-yard & made it look very nice & bright. Dr Bond came to see Arthur at 5 & gave him his bath & then had tea with us. Arthur was brought back to the drawing room & joined us at tea. Mrs Jellico came at 5.30 & sat with him till 7. At 8 I walked up to Cav. Sqr & saw Blanche & Edward who are going off to Paris tomorrow on their Whitsun holidays & then returned home– Nellie & I dined in the studio & I finished reading the “Journal” to her in the evening. Arthur had a telegram from Rhuvon today saying he would be home next week on leave. He said nothing about it but I believe he is pleased. | |
