20 June 1898 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 20th June [1898]. Very hot day. Wrote letters in morng. Mildred came & saw her father. Worked at French for Mlle Diamanti. Rhuvon & I lunched with Arthur. Nellie was out. Sat at home till after tea. Connie came & sat an hour & we had tea down in the sitting room together. After tea I took a walk & went by Piccadilly to Wilton Crest & left a card on Lady Simeon thanking her for enquiring after Arthur. On to Cadogan Sqr to see Lady Vivian whom I saw for a short time. Then paid a visit to the old Misses Monk next door to her & walked home by Green Park wh was lovely & green. Dined at home with Rhuvon– Monty returned home from Ascot.
