2 August 1898 — Hatfield | |
Tuesday. 2nd [August 1898]. We dismissed Monty Alderson’s housekeeper today & got her off about 2 o’cl. Nellie returned to town after breakfast. We set to work to have a good housecleaning. Eda & I undertook to clean the plate wh took us from 3 to 5 when we had tea & then went for a walk in the park. We heard that Lord & Lady Robert Cecil were arrived at Hatfield House. | |
