13 September 1898 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 13th [September 1898]. I painted all the morning. It came on to rain a fine drizzle which went on till 5 oclock & then cleared off. I went for a walk with Cornelia after tea by the old Queen’s walk (Queen Adelaide’s walk, she had once rented the house) to the keeper’s lodge & round by the road thro’ the village home. It only being 6.30 when we came home & Cornelia tired I continued my walk alone by the river & thro’ the Park home. Ivor & I played patience in the evening. | |
