15 September 1898 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset
Thursday. 15th [September 1898]. Packed my box before breakfast & made ready for the start to town. Breakfast at 10 & at ¼ to 11 went off to the station to catch the 11.9 train. It was half an hour late at Wimborne & an hour late at Waterloo. I went straight to 3 Savile Row. Found Nellie had arrived there ½ hour before me. Had tea & went off to Thurloe Sqr to order some garments of Mme Rigal. Dacre Du Cane came to see me. Louis D.C. & Richard their father came to dine & we talked over the loan affair. Rd is glad Merthyr accepts Ivor’s mediation but says nothing can be done until the next move on Rhuvon’s side.
