Friday. 30th [September 1898]. Busy morning unpacking & settling the English servants who are all new to the place. A visit after lunch from Lady Poynter who is here for the moment by herself—so I asked her to come back & dine, which she did. Went out in gondola with Augusta & Monty; took a turn on Piazza. | |
