21 November 1898 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 21st [November 1898]. Lady G. better & got up for a while but not down till dinner time. However she was not able to remain up in the evening & went off to bed at 7. Soon after Baron Krauss came then M. Passini, then Signor Trombini & then the brothers Cozzi—& there I sat chatting with those 5 men & the evening passed pleasantly away. Passini was in good form & was very talkative & they sat round the tea table till past 11– | |
