22 November 1898 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 22nd [November 1898]. Aug: up to luncheon. I went out in afternoon landed at Piazzetta—& thence walked by Piazza to the Accademy. I met Admiral Noce & he walked with me. Met also Marchese Bentivoglio who went part of the way with us. Called at the Belmondos & saw Iduna. Her husband was better. After lunch I went to call on Mme Wiel & she showed me one new apartment in Palazzo Soranzo Campo S. Polo. Met there the Curtis & Mrs Eden. We dined at 7.30 & Augusta went with Mrs Eden to theatre Malibran to see “Cyrano de Bergerac.” | |
