30 December 1898 — Villa Pisani, Vescovana | |
Friday. 30th [December 1898]. It was so foggy & damp I did not go out. The Css had a visit from Sr Lancerotti the avocato at Este—& he spent a good part of the afternoon here. After dinner D. Antonio read aloud to us out of the French translation of Plutarch some of the life of Mark Antony. | |
