Monday. 6th [March 1899]. Typing all the morning. Out at 3.30. Went to enquire after Carrie. Went to tea with the Montalbas. It was a lovely day but very cold. Had a visit from Countess Brazza & Countess Anine Morosini. I began my Monday evening receptions but only Ct & Css Belmondo & Count Grimani came—& stayed talking till 11.30. | |
