8 March 1899 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 8th [March 1899]. Breakfast at 8. Hard at work at typing all morning. Went out for an hour in afternoon. Called on Css Morosini who was out—then Css Brazzà in Pal. da Mula who was at home & very pleasant—then to Carry Eden who is better. Her niece Mrs Treherne was with her. Home to 5 tea & typed again till Baron Krauss came to call to take leave of me as he is retiring from the Consul Generalship. The Belmondos dined with me.
