Friday. 17th [March 1899]. B. & Bss de Vuillet came to luncheon also the Ct & Css Belmondo– Mme Vuillet was a Mlle Langsdorff. Her father is a naval officer & commanded the F. despatch boat at Constantinople in 1876. Her mother is English– They stayed some time after lunch talking & left abt 3.30 then I went out in gondola with Iduna– Very hot day. | |
