10 April 1899 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 10th [April 1899]. Arranged the papers of the “Memoirs”—& put things in order. Mr Christie came to call & to talk over Church accts. Also Mr & Lady Margaret Watney, a Miss M. Coleridge & a Mr & Mrs Fuller Maitland to whom I showed the house & pictures. Went out with Louie Vivian in afternoon & we bought carnations and shopped & walked home. Received in the evening for the last time & a good many people came & stayed rather later than usual. | |
