4 July 1899 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 4th [July 1899]. Wrote & embroidered patterns for the Garry Hill Industry. Blanche came to see me. I spent some time with Monty in his room looking over his pass collection & I gave him one of the Pitt Club wh had belonged to Mr Benj. Austin Henry’s uncle also a Badge worn by Henry’s father at the Chess Club at Florence. In return he gave me a nice little show case to set on a table in the drawing room into which I put my little curios, snuff boxes &c. I walked with Blanche a little way towards her home & then came home to luncheon– Drove out & went to 41 Hans Place to see Blanche Lady Lindsay & stayed a short time with her then went to Lady Vivian at 44 & sat with her & heard her various troubles with her governess &c & so got home late to tea to which Blanche came & brought Onie. Lady Vivian also came in for a moment also.
