20 October 1899 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 20th October [1899]. Mr & Mrs Curtis had asked us all three to lunch so we went to them at 1 o’cl & there were Mr & Mrs Denison. Afterwards Sophy, May & I went to the Piazza & on to the Eden’s garden. Only Carrie was there & she came home here with us in gondola to tea & remained some time chatting. | |
