5 December 1899 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 5th [December 1899]. Copied picture for my catalogue. After lunch Mrs Browning called & brought an American lady Mrs Roger who is staying in Venice with a sister & who wished to know me. Mrs Roger has been a widow some years & lost her husband after only 6 weeks’ marriage. After that I walked out. Fannie Browning dined with me– She leaves for Asolo tomorrow for good. | |
