Thursday. 15th [February 1900]. Nellie & I went off to Bethlem in the morng to have a talk with Dr Hyslop over Madeira C. Home business. When we had done our talk he offered to give me a look into one of the hospital wards—so we took a hasty look round. It was all so bright & comfortable that it quite took me by surprise. I promised to go again when I had more time to see it all in detail. We got home for lunch. Monty Alderson came to lunch & Kate afterwards went out with him. Blanche & Mrs Burton dined with us. | |
