6 March 1900 — 3 Savile Row
Tuesday. 6th [March 1900]. Breakfasted in my room & Violet in hers. Worked sewing machine all morning to get on with the invalid soldiers jackets. Nelly returned home abt 12. She has left off dying her ringlets & looks quite nice with her soft white hair & is altogether softer & has the peculiar beauty of old age. She was pleased at my visit. I walked home—wrote letters till dinner at 8 with Nellie & Violet—& bed at 11–
