25 March 1900 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 25th [March 1900]. Was very miserable all day—drowsy & stupid & did not get up till 4 o’cl. Monty came to my room to see me in the morning. He drove out for an hour in a coupé. Horrid cold weather. Continued NE wind. Nela & Louis came to tea. Sir Stanley Clarke called to see me to ask abt the Madeira CH in case his son can go there. Monty came up to see me abt 8 o’cl. I had a little food in the drawing room & went & sat with Monty for a little while before bed time.
