8 September 1900 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 8th September [1900]. 3 Savile Row. Eda Alderson & Nela Du Cane started off for Innspruck by 11 o’cl train. Nellie went to see them off. I finished packing my bags for the evening’s departure– My sister Connie came to lunch with me. She is still kept in town by her husband’s illness—tho’ he is better. I went for a walk with Nellie. The streets very empty & very few private carriages about. Home to tea. Dined at 7.30. Monty who is still here came upstairs to bid me good bye. I started at 8.30 with Nellie for Victoria Station. Was joined there by Ola Du Cane & we went off together by 9.5 P.M. train for Dover on our way to Cronberg to pay a visit to H.M. The Empress Frederick at Friedrichshof. We had a very calm passage.
