19 September 1900 — Cortina | |
Wednesday. 19th [September 1900]. The girls all went off on an expedition to Falzarego starting abt 10. I remained quiet—worked, sat out &c & went to meet the party after 6 when they returned. Patience in evening. Cortina is increased in size since I last saw it some 10 years ago(?) There is a large new Hotel called the Faloria & several others & some lodging houses. The frescos on the Ghedina Depandance painted by one of the 4 brothers are still well preserved & very pretty. The weather was fine & not too hot. | |
