14 October 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Sunday. 14th [October 1900]. Went to morning service with the girls. Again to afternoon service at 3.30 with Lady Poynter. By the 6.45 train arrived Mr & Mrs Arthur Walrond to stay with me—very charming young people. He an agent of the Bank of England—the branch in Old Burlington Street just opposite my house in Savile Row. She a daughter of Revd Montagu Villiers vicar of St Paul’s Knightsbridge—pretty & bright & fair haired.
