20 October 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 20th [October 1900]. Down to 9 oclock breakfast with all the party except Lady Poynter. After seeing all the party off in different directions Eda & I went off to Palazzo Tiepoletto (where the Bishop & Lady M. Glyn are) to see Lady Mary who is not at all well. After luncheon Mr Christie came & the Bishop of Gibraltar & Mrs Sandford & I went to our church & spent all the afternoon there discussing possible improvements in arranging the chancel. He approved the new organ loft which is just finished & the erection of which he had strenuously opposed– Eda & her cousins came to arrange the flowers &c for tomorrow’s service.
