13 June 1901 — 3 Savile Row | |
Thursday. 13th [June 1901]. Went to dentist at 10. Nellie came home at 12 feeling very unwell & went to bed. I sent for the Dr Mr Burton. He came abt 3 & prescribed for her & says she has a liver attack. I drove out & on my return at 5 found Merthyr sitting in the drawing room. He, Theo & Aura has just come to town & are staying at the Alexandra Hotel. Issie Du Cane came also to tea. I had to go off again to the dentist & Merthyr took me there in his hansom & Issie waited till I returned wh I did before long. Nellie still suffering. I dined alone; played patience & early to bed. | |
