20 July 1901 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 20th [July 1901]. Sent Connie my carriage in the morning. It was too hot to go out till evening—so at 6.30 Nellie & I took a drive. Finding one of my ancles swelled & red I drove to Mr Burton’s to get his advice. He says it is rheumatism & I must rest my leg & keep it up. Drove till 8– Vere Ponsonby dined with us.
