3 August 1901 — Shrubbery House, Froyle, Hampshire | |
Saturday. 3rd [August 1901]. Breakfasted in our own rooms & met downstairs about 11– Sir Hubert Miller (my hostess’ landlord) arrived to stay. I took a walk with him & he showed me some cottages he was enlarging & improving. He is very fond of his place & deeply regrets not being rich eno’ to live at the big House Froyle which he has let to a Col. Wyndham & Mr Murray. | |
