16 August 1901 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 16th [August 1901]. I went to call on Mr John Murray & told him I was leaving England tomorrow & that I had heard from the British Museum that Henry’s bust is still wanting from its place. He said he had written to Sir Henry Maunde Thompson. Had a visit from Mrs Murray in the afternoon– Did a little shopping. After tea Nellie & I went down to 40 Beaufort Gardens to pay Mr Charles Alderson a visit. He seemed quite well & was rebellious at being still kept in bed. We got back home abt 7.
