25 February 1902 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 25th [February 1902]. Another wet day but good for working so I nearly finished my bas relief– Latish I went out in gondola to pay a duty call & came home early. Trombini called at tea time to see if all was in order for this evening’s music & we had tea together. Dinner party Baroness Reinelt, Countess Canevaro, Avv. Valsecchi, Signor Wiel & Mr Montalba—then the Bompard concert with Agostini’s violincello. All the foreign colony & no Italians came– A pouring wet night. Mme B. sang & played brilliantly & there was great applause.
