Friday. 23rd [May 1902]. Yesterday was the anniversary of Charlie Eliot’s death & I telegraphed to Connie who is at Canford & got a letter back from her today, a very sad one. Kate & I went to lunch with the Bompards & the little girl & Mme Bompard gave us some music afterwards– From there we walked & called on Mme Lacroix who received us & asked us to tea next Monday. | |
