28 May 1902 — Paris
Wednesday. 28th [May 1902]. Kate & I left Paris. I had a terribly bad headache & had to remain in my room till the last moment that we started at 10.30 for the station. Kind Mr Antoine Belard took us to the station. Bss Edmond R. had ordered a carriage for us for wh I was most thankful as I could lie down quietly feeling very sick & faint. On the steamer at Calais we had a Private Cabin & I was very sick– The passage was perfectly smooth. I happily got a compartment to ourselves at Dover & we got to London at 7. Austin met us at Victoria Station & as soon as I got to Savile Row I tumbled into bed assisted by Nellie Alderson– Vere Ponsonby dined here with Kate & Nellie– I got better after a little rest. Kate shared my bed with me– Heard bad account of Maria–
